Renault will expand its presence in Russia with a new “crossover coupe”, expected to arrive in the country later this year. The mysterious vehicle is based on the same platform as the Renault/Dacia Duster.
The new vehicle will be a real breakthrough for the Russian SUV-market, strengthening the leadership of Renault Russia in this promising, fast-growing segment. The launch of this global model will open a new chapter in the history of not only Renault Russia. Russia will be the first country to set up the production and to start sales of the new Renault global model. The production of the new crossover will be set up at Renault Moscow plant, which was selected as the first industrial site to manufacture the new global C-SUV. The SUV will be unveiled at the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2018.
Renault’s new crossover is believed to slot above the Kaptur, which is another product aimed exclusively at the Russian market, and built in the country’s capital city. The teaser image released by Renault confirms that it won’t simply rehash the Captur/Kaptur design language into a coupe-SUV format. Instead, the grille and daytime running light arrangement hinted at in the teaser image is far more reminiscent of the latest Megane.
The world premiere of the show car will take place at the Moscow International Autosalon 2018!
